Wine information
The Bandol Rosé is a cuvée of around 65 % Mourvèdre and 35 % Cinsaut. The vines are planted in an "amphitheatre" facing the sea on Triassic clay, limestone and chalk. The yield is around 30 hl/ha. The Cinsaut was pressed directly, the Mourvèdre bled over a day using the saignée method. The cuvée of both juices was fermented spontaneously over 20 days at 22 °C and then aged for six months in stainless steel.

Nose
The appetising scent of the Bandol Rosé 2022, and one feels directly in a holiday mood. The notes of ripe peaches and nectarines, kumquats and blood oranges are juicy and fruity. There is also a little wild strawberry, herbs, some liquorice, orange pips and crushed stone.
Palate
The palate then reveals the full juiciness and fruit, which gives off a wonderful sweetness. The rosé, which is not simply a light summer wine but can be enjoyed in all seasons, delivers spices such as liquorice, some cinnamon bark and cardamom, as well as bitter notes of orange peel, a good amount of tannin and a gripping minerality until the long finish.
