Information about the drink
Our 2020 Bandol Rosé is made from a select blend of 65 % Mourvèdre and 35 % Cinsault. The vines are planted in an "amphitheatre" facing the sea, with a soil of clay, limestone and chalk from the Triassic period. While the Cinsault was pressed directly, the Mourvèdre underwent the saignée process, where it "bled" over the course of a day. Both juices combined resulted in a cuvée that fermented spontaneously over a period of 20 days at 22 °C and was then allowed to mature for six months in stainless steel barrels.

Appearance
This wine presents itself in a light copper tone, interspersed with orange reflections.

Bouquet
An almost hypnotic fragrance awakens from the glass, packed with the delicious fruitiness of sweet peaches, cherries, apple pie and redcurrant jelly, gently woven in with fragrant floral aromas, baked goods and a blend of fresh and dried Mediterranean herbs.

Taste experience
The 2020 Bandol Rosé from Château de Pibarnon impresses with its powerful yet refreshing taste. Its abundance of fruit flavours and Mediterranean spice, coupled with its impressive length, makes it an instant pleasure. Its subtle bitterness in the aftertaste cranks up the appetite, leaving nothing to be desired. This rosé remains a showpiece wine and an ideal accessory to a variety of meals.

Alternative recommendations for mating
Try it with a traditional fish soup, a tarte flambée variation with onions, anchovies, tomatoes, garlic and black olives or with a savoury cheese like Banon, served with marinated fennel and cranberries. Indulgence by all the rules of the art!
