Tasting note

Colour & Appearance
Luminous straw yellow with bright highlights in the glass.
Nose
Clear and focused with fresh pear and juicy citrus notes. Delicate white blossoms lend an airy grace to the bouquet, whilst nuances of ripe apple and subtle hints of almond provide complexity. Straightforward, cool, and defined by classic Palatinate freshness.
Palate
Slender and well-balanced, the wine presents itself with subtle fruit and gripping acidity. The palate reveals a noticeable minerality that lends structure to the medium body – smooth, elegant, and with a compelling urge for the next sip.
Finish
The finish culminates in a delicate, slightly saline note, expertly rounding off its fresh profile.
Terroir & Origin
The grapes originate from vineyard sites around Maikammer in the Southern Palatinate. The climate is sheltered from westerly winds by the Haardt hills, whilst calcareous marl and coloured sandstone soils form the solid foundation for this cuvée.
Grape Variety & Vinification
A blend of 78% Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc), 12% Souvignier Gris, and 10% Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris). Consistently vinified dry in stainless steel tanks (5.6 g/l total acidity with 5 g/l residual sugar), without unnecessary intervention, in order to capture the unadulterated grape quality. Bottled early in February 2025.
Food Pairings
Excellent with pan-fried Arctic char, summer salads with vinaigrette, oven-roasted chicken breast, or simply as a refreshing apéritif in good company.
Key Characteristics
An honest, down-to-earth addition to the portfolio that demonstrates just how much substance and drinking pleasure can be found in an artisanally crafted entry-level cuvée.
