Wine information
A cuvée of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon; twelve months aging in French barriques, 3.976 bottles
Color
dark purple
Nose
The cuvée from Clos del Sarraí shows a red berry freshness on the nose, which combines with a slightly lactic and still young yeast note. With air, more and more Syrah comes out from underneath, delivering dark notes of plums, violets and some pepper.
Palate
On the palate, the Clos de Sarraí is incredibly juicy and fresh, even cool in the mineral fresh acidity and yet pure in the fruit. The still youthful wine offers a firm structure and has a herbaceous character next to the fruit. A Priorat beginner with clarity, grip and juice. Exactly as one would wish.
Food recommendations by Christoph Raffelt
