Terroir & Origin

The South Styria region with its steep hills and pannonian-Mediterranean climate influence offers ideal conditions for crisp white wines. The Opok soils – a mixture of marl and sandstone – lend the wines their characteristic minerality and freshness. The 2024 vintage benefited from cool nights and sunny days, which preserved the grape variety’s typical acidity structure and aromatics. The DAC seal guarantees regional typicity and strict quality criteria.

Welschriesling – despite its name, not related to Riesling – is an underrated grape variety that in the right hands produces remarkable wines.
