Wine information
This wine is a late bottling of the classic Sauvignon blanc, which comes from six different vineyards with different soil compositions such as lime, sand, slate and Opok. It combines the stylistics of Southern Styria with those of the Tement winery. The wine was fermented spontaneously to a residual sugar of about 1.2 grams and then aged for 24 months on the fine lees in large neutral wooden barrels and in stainless steel and bottled unfiltered.
Color
light straw yellow with light green reflexes
Nose
What a relaxed Sauvignon blanc! On the nose, it combines the fresh and into the green notes of a Styrian Sauvignon. At the same time, however, they show the long maturity on the fine lees, which is why this wine seems a bit more lush and set, but at the same time more complex than the young Sauvignon blanc. Notes of yellow pears and elderflowers combine with hints of green olives, light tobacco, pickled nettle and a little lime.
Palate
Also on the palate is the Sauvignon blanc "Time Play 2 an extremely elegant representative, which shows itself creamy and is characterized by ripe acidity and a concise saltiness. The fruit is also ripe and very juicy, the acidity becomes clearer and more decisive towards the finish, the wine more and more mineral. The shell limestone soil becomes increasingly noticeable and shapes the wine in a piquant way. The result is a local wine that is both elegant and pleasantly demanding, with a salty base and a light tannic grip that makes it easy to drink. Apart from the current drinking pleasure, the wine has great potential.
