  • 🎨 Colour: A clear, inviting golden yellow colour that captures the intense Burgundy sunshine and reflects the maturity and quality of Thomas Morey's old vines.
  • 👃 Flavour: A bouquet that ranges from the floral freshness of young white flowers to complex notes of ripe citrus fruit and a hint of mineral elegance, complemented by subtle traces of vanilla and toast thanks to the careful use of new wood.
  • 👅 Flavour: On the palate, a lively acidity structure seamlessly transitions into a rich texture, with flavours ranging from green apples to ripe pears and a hint of tropical fruit. A fine balance between freshness and complexity.
  • 🎭 Character: A wine of great finesse and depth, characterised by the harmony between ancient tradition and contemporary demands for sustainability. Minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar preserves its authentic expressiveness.
  • 🍽️ Food recommendation: Ideal with fine dishes such as roasted sea bass with light herb butter, risotto with white truffles or a creamy goat's cheese, which can tease out the subtle nuances of the wine.
  • ✨ Special features: Emphasised by the organic farming and the old vines, which guarantee a low yield but of high quality, as well as the special selection of the Sélections massales, which capture the historical depth and identity of the terroir.

The Domaine Thomas Morey is located in Chassagne-Montrachet. Thomas and his wife Sylvie cultivate about 13 hectares in the appellations Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet, Maranges, Santenay, Saint-Aubin and Beaune. The Moreys are 10th generation winemakers in Chassagne. In 2006, they decided to go into business for themselves. In 2014, they decided to have the farm certified organic. Thomas is able to work largely with old vines from the 1950s and 1960s. New plants are planted from sélections massales of old vines. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation is carried out without exception, the proportion of new wood is about 20 %, and sulfurization is minimal.
