Color
In rich lemon yellow, the wine shows itself shiny and clear.
Nose
At first only subtly suggestive, scents of meadow flowers unite with those of yellow fruits to appear bundled. This wine demands some patience and/or is pleased to be allowed to look at the world from a carafe before enjoyment. Fragrant bright flowers of daisies, marigolds and the slightly straw-like character of thistles dance with the fresh fruitiness of crisp nashi pear, lemon marmalade and gooseberry.
Palate
With a noticeable yet balanced and unobtrusive sweetness, the 2015 Riesling Glimmerschiefer from Martin Muthenthaler follows the model of a Kabinett from the Mosel. However, it does not copy this tasted and felt, but with its own handwriting and character paying homage. An undecided tug-of-war between animating acidity and frivolous fruit sweetness pave the way for a long mineral reverberation.

- Courgettes au gratin with spicy goat's cheese, marjoram and pecan nuts
- Duck liver in a salt crust with roasted Hokkaido pumpkin and chamomile butter
