Color
In bright lemon yellow with discreet white-golden reflexes, the wine appears clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
Expressive and life-affirming, the scent of this Wachenheimer Riesling from Andreas Schumann spreads immediately. The white and yellow blossoms of apple and acacia, as well as daisy and sunflower, are bound into a wreath and unite carelessly with the delicate aromas of velvety peach skin, lemon zest and basil. Fresh turmeric grounds the otherwise hummingbird-like lightness of the wine.
Palate
On the palate, the 2017 Riesling Buntsandstein from Odinstal impresses with meticulous precision on the one hand and drinkable care offering harmony on the other. Its multi-layered, aromatic fruit opulence is filled with vitality by chiseling acidity and at the same time bedded on velvet and silk by gossamer sweet fruit melt. Stony length and a slender stocky body let it hope for exciting encounters with food and shine.
One of those wines that solves the difficulty of a motley round with ease....
That is to say, due to its undeniable quality that brings pleasure, it tastes good to wine connoisseurs and those who call themselves such. Due to its soul, it also tastes good to the dear in-laws, neighbors and the friend of the seventeen-year-old daughter, who otherwise only drinks pilsner and vodka with orange juice. But he gets nothing.
