Color:
Deep golden yellow with delicate lightening towards the rim.
Nose:
The Pinot Blanc from Zind-Humbrecht exudes a floral aroma of citrus fruits, ripe yellow apples, pears and peach. With a little oxygen contact, intense almond, licorice and anise notes emerge.
Palate:
On the palate, the otherwise rather pleasing and mild grape variety surprises in 2018 with a vibrant freshness and the stimulating citrus notes that we already find in the nose. The whole is accompanied by a fine fruit sweetness and a stimulating, mineral finish. A great food companion especially for the asparagus season and vegetarian dishes.
Food recommendations by Christina Hilker:
- Asparagus with classic Hollandaise or Maltese sauce
(Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Trout "Müllerin" with young potatoes
(fish)
- Crispy veal fillet strips with chanterelle risotto and salad
(meat)
