Deep dark garnet red with mahogany lightening at the rim.
The 2005 Marlène No 3 presents itself ripe and sweet on the nose. Aromas of pickled plums, plum jam, black cherries, cranberries, dates and fruit bread emerge from the glass. The charming fruit aroma is accompanied by a scent that reminds of gingerbread spices, chocolate and leather.
On the palate, the 2005 Marlène No 3 surprises with a beautiful terroir spice and a stimulating tannin and acid structure. The sweet and chocolaty aromas glide along the tongue and combine with a stimulating minerality that gives it finesse and coolness despite its opulence. A wine that has many years of cellaring potential and will appreciate the accompaniment of hearty cuisine with sweet and fruity touches.
