Wine Description for Petite Nymphe AOC 2025 by Flo Busch

Character
The Petite Nymphe is a dry red wine cuvée from Languedoc that combines the traditional power of Mediterranean grape varieties with modern elegance. Flo Busch creates here a wine that showcases the sun-blessed fullness of the region without falling into heaviness – a wine with character and drinkability in equal measure.
Terroir & Origin
Languedoc, once dismissed as a bulk wine region, has evolved into the most exciting wine region of southern France. Here, between the Mediterranean and the Cévennes, the vines benefit from intense sunshine, cooling sea breezes and the characteristic limestone and slate soils. The AOC classification guarantees provenance and quality standards – an important signal in a region full of potential and artisanal winemakers who are restoring Languedoc to new prestige.
Grape Variety & Vinification
The cuvée from Grenache and Carignan is a classic Languedoc pairing. Grenache brings red fruit, warmth and fullness, whilst Carignan – often underestimated – contributes structure, freshness and spicy notes. This combination yields wines with Mediterranean temperament: fruit-forward, with delicate herbal notes and natural balance. The 2025 vintage is still young, yet the grape varieties already promise accessibility and vibrancy. Flo Busch presumably works with respect for the terroir and allows the vines room to express their origin.
Food Pairing Suggestions
A wine for Mediterranean cuisine: It harmonises beautifully with grilled vegetables, ratatouille, lamb chops with Provençal herbs or an aubergine bake. It also shows its strengths alongside tapas, chorizo or pizza with anchovies and olives. Its dry character makes it the ideal everyday wine, equally enjoyable on its own – uncomplicated, authentic and with a southern French soul.
