Wine overview
Nestled in the village of Vallet, one discovers these Melon de Bourgogne vines. Established in 1984, the vines have been able to take root on the graceful mix of granite and gneiss bedrock. This charming vineyard, a historic showpiece of the Luneau family, forms a natural boundary between two idyllic villages and a charming river course. It blends seamlessly into the local scenery of Valletta, where it occupies the top of a hill. The gentle slope of this 500-metre-wide strip of granite descends modestly to the gneiss of the village of Le Landreau.

Colouring/radiance
It shines in a soft golden yellow, interspersed with striking green reflections.

Aroma
Never aloof, but always fresh and charming, the L d'Or Muscadet Sèvre & Maine from 2020 presents itself. A bouquet of citrus fruit, lemon peel and grass, as well as white peach and apple give it an idiosyncratic character that is rounded off by subtle yeasty notes and almond. A hint of anise completes this exquisite interplay.

Taste
The palate is enchanted by a fruity spiciness that finds its origins in the granite of its homeland. Refreshing, extremely nuanced and with highly stimulating ageing potential, this wine is a sensual and mineral delight. This wine captures the essence of traditional French cuisine while reaching out to the pampered palates of its beholders.

Accompanying food suggestions
Try this exceptional wine with spicy turnip tortillas with parsnip-based dip and pancetta. Or an artichoke tartare garnished with cantaloupe and a hint of fresh mint. Also worth pondering is a sumptuous seafood tower accompanied by crusty baguette.
