Grüner Veltliner Ried Steinberg 1.ÖTW 2022

Stefan Hajszan, the founder of the winery, was the first Viennese winery to switch to biodynamic cultivation back in 2006. In 2014, he sold the winery to the Viennese winegrower Fritz Wieninger and emigrated to New Zealand. Fritz Wieninger consciously continues to run the 20-hectare winery under the old name and attaches great importance to ensuring that the wines remain stylistically independent. The vineyards are predominantly located in the first-class limestone vineyards on the Nussberg and occasionally in the Grundgebirge vineyards in Grinzing. Great importance is attached to origin and the wines are vinified purely from the vineyards. A line of mash-fermented white wines, which are offered under the name "Natural" and are produced without any influence such as fining, filtration and sulphurisation, round off the range and impress with a firework of flavours and great independence. The first Viennese Gemischter Satz "natural wine"!
