The Chandon de Briailles winery in Savigny les Beaune is run by two siblings, Claude and François de Nicolay. François takes care of the vineyards and the distribution, while Claude is the queen in the cellar. The estate owns prime plots in Premier and Grand Cru sites, such as Aloxe- Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. They believe that great terroir wines can only come from biodynamic farming, which they have practiced since 2005. Although the different vineyards are not far apart, they differ significantly in soil and climate. To work out these different characters and to present them in a perfect form is the big goal of the two. They succeed in bringing this out in an impressive way. All wines have depth and complexity and above all a great individuality.
