Nose

Refreshing and precise: Citrus and Lime dominate, accompanied by spicy Ginger, Mint, Lemon balm and Basil. Darunter liegt jene feine, kristalline Mineralität, die Michael Andres’ Handschrift trägt – puristisch und ohne Schnörkel.

Palate

Crystal clear and straightforward, this Riesling flows over the tongue like spring water from the Palatinate mountains. The 13% Alcohol are perfectly integrated, the acidity vibrant and lively without ever appearing aggressive. Each sip demands the next - a wine that epitomises drinking flow. The subtle residual sweetness (just dry) rounds off the citric freshness without imposing itself.

Departure

Medium length, fresh and characterised by herbal clarity. The minerality remains present, the citrus notes linger - a clean, appetising finish.

Terroir & origin

A successful blend of two sites with strong character: the Kieselberg with its stony precision and the Linen cave with its cool elegance. This combination gives the wine its special tension between fruit and minerality.

Grape variety & vinification

Riesling, fermented spontaneously in stainless steel and matured on the fine lees until June - a purist ageing process that allows the terroir to take precedence and shows the grape variety in its natural expressiveness.

This Riesling calls for light, herb-accentuated dishes: Carpaccio of avocado with lime and fresh mint, Clear tomato soup with prawns and basil dumplings or Cod with cress puree and Riesling foam. Also to Goat cheese or Asian summer rolls a recommendation.
