Wine profile
The ageing of this Pinot Blanc from 2022 took place predominantly in a steel tank. The result is truly impressive.
Colour
Its glow resembles that of sparkling gold, subtly infused with a hint of fresh green. A silent indication of its youth and hidden strength.
Bouquet
Like a seductive fragrance filling a room, this wine unfolds its aromas. The main note is clear - a juicy pear, paired with sweet honeydew melon and almonds, refined by under-expected yeast notes. The olfactory spectacle is accompanied by a hint of aniseed and coriander, which offer a multi-layered, all-encompassing attack, strangely underpinned by a hint of minerality.
Taste
As soon as the wine settles on the tongue, it begins to unfold its warmth. The freshness is unmistakable, as is the subtle creaminess that meets delicate spicy notes. Although it is still in its youthful stage, it is already perfectly balanced and enjoyable - also thanks to the moderate alcohol content of only 12 vol% and the restrained acidity. This wine is a true all-rounder that not only goes excellently with various dishes, but also enriches them.
Food suggestions
In terms of possible food pairings, why not try asparagus with almond butter or salmon with soy marinade and wakame. Or, if you can't renounce the classics, this Pinot Blanc pairs perfectly with a Wiener schnitzel, accompanied by a potato and cucumber salad.
