Serrat de la Plane Côtes des Catalanes 2019

Dr. Georg Meißner has been researching and teaching biodynamic viticulture for many years and has accompanied many winegrowers in their conversion. One of his concerns is the development of a good education on this subject in a practical and university context. During his viticultural apprenticeship he fell in love with the wines and the landscape of Roussillon. He keeps in touch by "saving" two vineyards that would otherwise have been grubbed up. The vineyards are cultivated with family and friends. The Carignan, which are over 100 years old, stand on a terrace surrounded by stone walls, rock and forest. The Grenache are exposed to the wind and stand on a dry, stony gneiss weathered soil. During the early harvest, strict selection is carried out in the vineyard. The aim is to produce red wines with finesse, tension and minerality.
