The history of the Rebholz family goes far back into the 16th century. The winery owes its present name to Eduard Rebholz, who held the title of Ökonomierat. The studied forester was also the one who, at that time, set the idea of unadorned "natural wine" against the zeitgeist of artificially sweetened drops. Today, his grandson Hansjörg Rebholz resolutely continues the idea of consistently dry wines. His wines, which often seem inaccessible in their youth, are characterised by a high development potential and therefore need time to show their full class. The top vineyards "Kastanienbusch" and "Im Sonnenschein" in particular prove the impressive top position of this traditional house.
