Wine Description for Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2024 by Vietti

Colour & Appearance
Pale yellow with silvery reflections, fine perlage – a wine that promises lightness and summer freshness right from the glass.
Nose
Here the classic Moscato aromatics unfold in their finest form: ripe peaches and apricots meet rose petals and a hint of candied ginger. These are joined by powdered lemon sweets, fresh lemon balm and enchanting orange blossom – a perfectly balanced blend between floral and fruity that expresses the character of the Muscat grape with crystal clarity.
Palate
Juicy and carefree on the attack, with a precision and varietal typicity that impresses. The fine perlage mousseux caresses the tongue, whilst the expansive fruitiness exudes pure joie de vivre. At just 5% alcohol, a hedonistic pleasure without guilt – a wine that invites generous pouring.
Finish
Fresh and fruity, with lingering citrus notes and floral accents that resonate long after.
Terroir & Origin
The grapes come from small parcels in Castiglione Tinella in the heart of Piedmont. The approximately 40-year-old Guyot vines are rooted in chalky and clay-rich soils at a planting density of 4,500 stocks per hectare – ideal conditions for concentrated aromatics whilst maintaining elegance.
Grape Variety & Vinification
Pure varietal from Muscat (Moscato Bianco). After gentle pressing, the must is stored in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Controlled fermentation in pressure tanks at 12–14°C is stopped at approximately 5.5% alcohol through cooling. No malolactic fermentation – this preserves the natural freshness and varietal typicity completely.
Food Pairing Suggestions
A magnificent wine on its own for hot summer days, but also shines with lemon tart, panna cotta with berry compote, apricot cake or fresh strawberries. Also a perfect choice with fruit salads and light citrus desserts.
Special Features
Vietti is among the most renowned producers of Piedmont. This Moscato d’Asti embodies pure summer mood in bottle form – uncomplicated, elegant and of crystalline varietal typicity.
