Tasting note
Color:
Sparkling light yellow with clear green reflections
Nose:
Wow, the Chardonnay Auxerrois Löss und Lehm from Michael Andres is beautiful again, with mineral notes and hints of matchstick to start things off. It needs air in its youthful stage, so please pour it into a carafe or large glasses. Then it shows fine apple and quince fruit, vineyard peach, lime blossom and orange, almonds and a hint of aniseed.
Palate:
On the palate, it is juicy and invigorating at the same time, with a delicately salty flavour and inspiring acidity, with the fruit in the foreground. It can be enjoyed wonderfully on its own, but also with a wide variety of dishes. Fantastic value for money and a wine for everyday enjoyment.
Food pairing suggestions
- Spring vegetables with lime mayonnaise (Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Savoury egg pancakes with poultry, avocado and apricots(poultry)
- Prawns on Asian noodles(seafood)
