Light golden yellow with bright reflections.
The nose of the 2016 Clos de Bourg Moelleux from Domaine Huet bursts with its sumptuous, expansive aromas. Dried apricots and candied fruits mingle with the scent of fully ripe nectarines and dried fruit. A creamy component recalls strawberries with whipped cream. In the top note, floral notes of orange blossom water unite with the scent of green tea and spicy notes of cardamom. A wine with a grandiose future.
On the nose, it initially seems very creamy with a creamy, viscous texture. The fruit aromas are reflected on the palate and bring additional tannins into play: the peel of peaches and pears give the wine a very tightly woven, taut phenolic, which makes it seem very firm despite its fruitiness. Nothing wobbles on the palate, this is all about tight connective tissue. The gentle honey notes are countered by salted nuts and accompanied into the tartly contoured finish with eternal reverberation.
