Color:
Dark ruby red with violet reflections.
Nose:
The nose of the young Teroldego is always bursting with dark fruits like blackberries, plums, Amarena cherries and mulberries. It sometimes suggests thick ink on the palate, which is underscored by dark chocolate and toasty and earthy flavors of espresso foam and leather.
Mouth:
On the palate, the 2018 Teroldego from Vigeti delle delle Dolomiti by Foradori is taut and clear as a bell. The red berry fruit of currants and some cassis is carried by a youthfully impetuous acid nerve, which attests to its enormous freshness and straightforward drinking flow. Big grown, leptosome with a neat crown and dressed in finest tannins, it already makes bella figura, but gains enormously over bottle maturity.
Food recommendations by Sebastian Bordthäuser:
- Beetroot soup with watercress pesto (vegetarian)
(Vegetable & Vegetarian)
- Eel in red wine sauce
(fish)
- Guinea fowl breast stuffed with scampi with black noodles and lobster sauce
(Seafood, Pasta, Pizza, Polenta & Risotto, Game Poultry)
