Color

The wine is dark purple with a purple rim and black core, clear and shiny in the glass.

Nose

A wine of origin that seems a bit rugged at first sight and is driven by dark spiciness loudly makes itself known. On the one hand, there is pronounced fruit in the form of black cherries, cranberries and plum jam, on the other hand, this is accompanied by the smoky spiciness of a juniper ham, as well as the ethereal notes of beetroot and the scent of ripe tomatoes, as well as some liquorice and black tea.
Grounded and stirred up by sympathetic rough-legged animalism, this comes across as a very confident, yet frugal wine.

Palate

Authoritative and in a paradox of the comfort of dried dates and the tannic acidity of fresh cranberries, the 2018 Flores de Callejo paves its way with a smirk at the corner of its mouth. With its dark berry fruit opulence and spice reminiscent of allspice, it is a wonderful middleweight with a velvety tannin structure.
A demanding, but frugal table wine, which can be poured confidently to the wine connoisseur, as well as the hunchbacked relatives.
