Colour & Appearance

Luminous golden yellow with bright reflections. The perlage displays itself as fine and remarkably consistent – a sign of meticulous craftsmanship. The bubbles rise elegantly and persistently, indicating good maturity on the lees.

Nose

Here we find an unusually powerful, almost masculine aromatic profile for a German Sekt. The nose is dominated by ripe yellow fruits – khaki, apricot, nectarine – which contrast with bitter citrus notes of grapefruit, blood orange and pomelo. Particularly the zests of these citrus fruits bring ethereal oils and depth. Fascinating is the spicy component: allspice, white pepper, clove, along with dried herbs such as marjoram and oregano. Subtle hints of sourdough bread and butterscotch round off the complex bouquet.

Palate

The aromatic promise of the nose is delivered on the palate: dense, compact, with present yet perfectly integrated acidity. The fine perlage melts in creamily and lends the Sekt additional smoothness. With 3.1 g/l residual sugar and 6.4 g/l acidity, this cuvée sits on the borderline between Brut Nature and Brut – a deliberate choice that makes the Sekt more accessible without losing precision. The spicy notes of herbs and spices give it a distinctive, almost piquant character.

Finish

Pleasantly lively and refreshing, without the austerity of some Brut Nature Sekts. The wine remains harmonious and balanced through to the end.

Grape Variety & Vinification

A thoughtfully composed cuvée of Chardonnay, Auxerrois and Schwarzriesling – an unusual yet successful combination that unites structure, fruit and complexity. Traditional bottle fermentation lends the Sekt its fine texture.

Food Pairing Recommendations

The spicy structure and moderate acidity make this Sekt an ideal companion for grilled fish, scallops or sushi. Also an excellent choice with roasted poultry with herbs or goat’s cheese. The herbal notes harmonise wonderfully with Mediterranean starters.
