Nose
The 2012 Steiner Hund Riesling exudes immense power and exploding fruit on the nose. Ripe apricots, oranges, mango, dried apricots, forest honey, wet earth and forest foliage characterize this wine, as does its distinct cool and stony underbelly. It shows no hints of ripeness, but at the same time seems so perfectly mature that one is inspired to drink it immediately when smelling it.
Palate
If one takes the 2012 Steiner Hund Riesling on the tongue, one notices its punchy and animating character. With a lot of bite, it provokes quite pleasantly and stimulates the taster incredibly with pronounced saltiness. It remains above average long in the reverberation and demands, after an intensive and powerful kitchen. Whereby one should underline that any saturating character is far from him, he is a spawn of elegance despite all power.
