Floor
The grapes from the NATURAL Pinot Gris come from a vineyard in the Ried "Hochfeld" on the Bisamberg in Vienna. The soils on the Bisamberg consist of light, sandy loess on massive limestone in the subsoil.

Vineyard and cellar
In 2015, the Hajszan Neumann winery began to vinify mash-fermented white wines without any intervention. After successful trials with Traminer and a Gemischter Satz, the range was expanded in 2016 with a Pinot Gris and Muscat. The vineyards are farmed according to biodynamic guidelines, harvested by hand and, after careful selection, macerated and fermented in Concrete eggs filled. Here, fermentation takes place on the skins, using neither sulphur nor yeast preparations. After fermentation, the concrete eggs are merely filled to capacity but again not sulphurised and so the wine remains with the skins for over 5 months. In March 2019, the wine was carefully separated from the skins and transferred to the steel tank. There it matured for a further 6 weeks before being bottled without any fining or filtration. After a bottle ageing of 4 months, the wine will go on sale in September 2019.

Wine description
Since the NATURAL Pinot Gris was deliberately bottled unfiltered, shake before pouring or - according to taste - decat. In the nose floral, after tropical fruits and fruit salad. Animating fragrance. At the palate flowery aromatic and fine tannin structure.
