Wine profile
Our Blanc de Noir was harvested from early-ripening Pinot Noir grapes that grew in Bertram-Baltes' well-known growing areas in the Ahr. The grapes were pressed directly as whole clusters and fermented spontaneously before maturing in large wooden barrels.
Colour presentation
Enjoy the bright straw-yellow colour of this wine.
Scent perception
The symphony of aromas seduces with notes of crisp apples, hints of Reineclaude and a hint of Meyer lemon. Let yourself be enchanted by a light berry note, accompanied by a hint of smoke and nuts. Unlike the Pinot Noirs of previous years, the Blanc de Noir is rather restrained in its redictive note.
Taste experience
The taste experience reveals a delightful balance between the crisp acid core and a creamy texture. The wine appears both silky and robust and the acidity shows a strong presence. This is a wine that pulses powerfully on the tongue, yet shows a certain finesse. The wood used adds an extra layer of complexity to the bright, partly citrus fruit, which is also reminiscent of pome fruit. Alongside this harmonious interplay between acidity and fruit, a subtle saltiness stimulates salivation. This wine is clearly clear, bright, refreshing, juicy and lively.
Accompanying dishes
Try this wine with scallops braised in a saffron and fennel sauce or with a creamy butternut squash risotto given an exotic touch by passion fruit. Alternatively, the wine is perfect with a fish and prawn stuffing in wan tans, rounded off with an apple chutney.
