The winery has been run by Steffen Christmann in the 7th generation since 1996. In 2004, the Christmanns finally committed themselves to biodynamic cultivation. The aim is to produce wines that are a reflection of the vineyard, taste like it and could not be produced anywhere else in the world. The harmony between the vine, the vineyard and the winegrower results in magnificent wines of great individuality. The ideal conditions in the traditional Palatinate Mittelhaardt region, warm enough for full-bodied wines and cool enough for elegance and a fine minerality, form the basis. The first vineyards Idig, Mandelgarten and Reiterpfad in particular produce great wines that are always among the best in Germany.
