Weinbeschreibung für Gevrey-Chambertin “Les Corbeaux” 1er Cru 2021 von Trapet Père & Fils
Terroir & origin
The winery
Trapet Père & Fils is one of the most renowned producers in Gevrey-Chambertin with a family tradition dating back to the 19th century. Under the management of Jean-Louis Trapet, the estate has committed itself to biodynamic cultivation and is one of the pioneers of this cultivation method in Burgundy. The philosophy of the estate is to express the purest expression of the terroir in every wine.
Character
The moderate alcohol level of 13% vol. and the low residual sweetness indicate a precise, terroir-influenced wine that emphasises the finesse of the vintage over opulent power. Trapet wines are characterised by their precision, purity and longevity - Characteristics that can also be expected in this Premier Cru.
Food pairing suggestions
This wine harmonises perfectly with classic Burgundian dishes such as coq au vin or boeuf bourguignon. It is also an elegant accompaniment to game, especially pheasant or partridge. The fine acidity structure also makes it the ideal partner for dishes with wild mushrooms or matured soft cheese from the region.
Drinking recommendation
Whilst this Premier Cru can already offer pleasure now, it will benefit considerably from a few years of bottle ageing. An optimal drinking window is likely to open between 2026 and 2035The longevity of Trapet wines can also justify longer storage.
