Terroir & Origin

Burgenland at Lake Neusiedl benefits from a unique Pannonian microclimate – hot summers, moderate rainfall and the influence of the shallow steppe lake create ideal conditions for aromatic white wines. The Velich family tends their vineyard sites in Apetlon with great care. The gravel soils with loess overlay lend the wines structure and minerality, whilst the warm climate ensures ripeness and fruit fullness. This wine comes from younger plantings and represents the accessible side of the estate.

The cuvée unites three complementary grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc brings freshness and herbal spice, Chardonnay contributes body and structure, whilst Welschriesling – the traditional Burgenland variety – provides lively acidity and drinkability.
