Nosiola

Nosiola is the only true white native variety of Trentino, a grape of quiet, almost aristocratic beauty. Native to the wind-swept valleys and the steep foothills of the Dolomites, it likely owes its name to the wild hazelnut (Italian nocciola), whose delicate toasted notes its subtle aromatics hint at. Nosiola never imposes itself; it possesses a cool, alpine minerality, a fine phenolic structure and a pleasantly moderate alcohol content. It often reveals its true complexity through gentle skin contact. At the Foradori winery, it matures in clay amphorae into a wine of floating elegance, characterised by yellow apples, quince peel and a fine, salty texture that pairs outstandingly with mature mountain cheese or cooked fish.
