Hondarrabi Zuri

The Hondarrabi Zuri is native to the wild, rainy Atlantic coast of the Basque Country. Shaped by the cool maritime climate, this white grape variety produces wines of razor-sharp precision, salty mineral character, and an almost electrifying acidity. Typical aromas include green apples, fresh herbs, and zesty citrus fruits, always accompanied by a fine, maritime sea-spray note on the finish. While it is mostly used locally for the spritzy Txakoli, it reveals enormous potential for depth when crafted with more ambitious winemaking.
