The barren, windswept soils in western Sicily with their high limestone content and the Mediterranean sunshine, tempered by cool sea breezes, give this wine its characteristic mineral tension. The 2022 vintage benefited from a balanced weather pattern, which ensured good ripeness while retaining freshness.

Winemaking philosophy

The de Bartoli family is one of the beacons of Sicilian wine culture. Whilst it is best known for the renaissance of Marsala, it demonstrates the versatility of Sicily's indigenous grape varieties with wines such as the Integer Bianco. The Integer line is vinified with minimal intervention - spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, prolonged contact with the skins and no filtration are all part of the philosophy.
