Caiño Blanco
Also known as: Caíño Branco (Portugal), Borraçal (Douro)
One of the old autochthonous white grape varieties of Galicia, which has long stood in the shadow of Albariño. Caiño Blanco produces wines with taut acidity, saline minerality and a core of white stone fruits – less opulent than Albariño, but more structured and with greater tension. In the Rías Baixas, the variety is gaining importance, particularly among winemakers seeking depth and ageing potential rather than immediate accessibility.
All our Caiño Blanco wines come from Attis Bodegas y Vinedos, one of the leading estates in the Rías Baixas, dedicated to reviving old Galician varieties.
