Cava Recaredo builds on a long tradition. The founder Josep Mata began producing the first cavas as early as 1924. The name of the winery comes from his father Recaredo Mata. Today, the winery still works like the founders in many production steps. All bottles are shaken by hand. Disgorging is also done gently by hand without icing the neck of the bottle. For bottle fermentation, Recaredo uses natural corks instead of crown corks or plastic. All Cavas are bottled without dosage and are Brut Nature. The vineyards are located in Alta Penedès, the higher part of the growing region. Biodynamic practices have been added in recent years. The result is top quality cavas that are second to none.
