Nose

Captivating freshness and precision: red and black currants dominate, accompanied by juicy cherry juice and a hint of elderflower. Above this float violet floral notes and a subtle cinnamon trace. The bouquet appears appetisingly transparent – nothing is veiled, everything pushes forward.

Palate

Here the full finesse of Mondeuse Noire reveals itself: the wine unites apparent opposites into a harmonious whole. Warmth and coolness, juiciness and freshness balance perfectly. Red fruit, pomegranate juice and red peach unfold on the palate, underpinned by subtle earthy notes. Despite palpable substance, the wine remains light-footed and ethereal, carried by pressing acidity and refined tannins.

Grape Variety & Vinification

100% Mondeuse Noire, vinified with a minimalist intervention approach: 72 hours of semi-carbonic maceration, further fermentation in concrete, ten months of ageing on the lees in multi-year-old barriques. Bottled without fining or filtration, minimal sulphur addition. A natural wine that conveys its origin unfiltered.

Classically with Raclette de Savoie – the regional connection works perfectly. Equally charming with vegetable samosas, bratwurst with mashed potatoes or other hearty, not-too-heavy dishes. The acidity and freshness make it an ideal food companion.
