Info about the wine
The Riesling grapes are grown on primary rock with a fine humus layer.
Info about the expansion
The wine is produced without the addition of sugar, enzymes, flavour enhancers and
Pure cultured yeasts fermented exclusively with the grape's own natural yeast and drawn into the bottle on a fruit day after four years of storage in large, old wooden barrels.
Colour
Bright and intense yellow with delicate lightening towards the rim.
Nose
The 2014 Riesling Smaragd Vom Stein exudes an intense aroma. The scent of yellow fruits such as apricot and mirabelle mingles with lemon zest and lily of the valley oil. At the same time, the wine is already animated with an incredible freshness on the nose. Honey, white nougat and a fine anise and cardamom spice underpin its fascinating first impression.
Palate
On the tongue, we encounter a wine that succeeds in bringing juiciness with fruit sweetness and stimulating acidity into perfect harmony. It conveys great drinking pleasure and flirts with its juiciness as well as with a fine spiciness that gives it a stimulating spicy touch. The accompaniment of a cuisine that seems as aromatic and original as the wine is just right here.
