Wine profile
Consisting of 65 % Corvina, 25 % Corvinone and 10 % Rondinella, this exquisite drop thrives on limestone soils of the Ilassi hills at altitudes between 220 and 300 metres.
Appearance
The wine ignites a brilliant spectacle of flaming ruby red accentuated by striking violet reflections.
Bouquet
The 2020 Valpolicella Monte Tabor is characterised by a charismatic and enticing blend of aromas. The olfactory ensemble is dominated by sour cherries, sweet berries, violets and roses, underpinned by an earthy note of ivy and cedar. A subtle hint of pink pepper adds a graceful touch of spice.
Taste experience
A refreshing explosion of fruit is experienced by the palate, enriched with an invigorating acidity and a mild structure of tannins. This wine is a harmonious experience that is excellent on its own, but is also perfect to accompany rich, juicy and aromatic Italian cuisine. A slight chill enhances its characteristics.
Alternative food recommendations
This wine is excellent with dishes such as gnocchi with tomato-basil cream, mini pizzas with figs and prosciutto or a rustic salad of beetroot, radicchio, quail and walnuts. Spaghetti alla Puttanesca, Saltimbocca alla Romana and beef carpaccio also go well with this.
