Wine information
The 2020s La Condenada comes from the 0.75 hectare Paraje Camino del Ciego vineyard in Baños de Ebro. The vineyard, situated 530 metres above sea level, was planted in the 1920s with a mixed set of around 80 % Tempranillo as well as Graciano, Garnacha and Palomino Fino. The soil consists mainly of sand and sandstone. De-stemmed but not crushed grapes were used, which were fermented spontaneously. The wine was then matured in tonneaux for a year and bottled unfiltered. Among Artuke's single-vineyard wines, it is considered a grand cru led. There are 1,502 bottles.

Nose
The 2020s La Condenada needs time to open up and, best of all, plenty of air. Then it reveals notes of violets, rock roses, lavender and peonies in combination with cherries and blackberries, plums and some cassis, maquis, pepper and rock. The wood is very restrained and fine.
Palate
On the palate, this Rioja superbly structured and textured. Everything already fits together superbly - the ultra-fine, silky and chalky tannins, the fresh and lively, incredibly precise and clear acidity and, last but not least, the polished, dazzlingly pure, pure fruit that is barely veiled by the wood. This wine glides silkily over the palate. It seems noble, but not smooth, not arrogant, but touching with its sensitive character.
