Nose
Stone fruit in fully ripe form. Apricot compote, mirabelle jam and fresh peach. Pears and quinces appear in baked and caramelised form. Grilled pineapple and candied ginger are also clearly visible. Khaki and cantaloupe melon make the fruity finish. A little fennel, aniseed and marzipan give it a soft component. Rum sultanas, almond slivers and yeast dough provide a popular flavour. Honey is only subtly perceptible. It is more reminiscent of spicy maple syrup. Very delicate hints of turmeric and raz el hanout can be detected. In no way does it convey heaviness or fullness.
Palate
On the palate, it initially shows a fruity concentration. Full of intensity and with a loud expression. The aromas are very similar to the impressions from the nose. Before it can drift into fruity-sweet triviality, its cool, dark and elegant attributes are very clear. It is cool in its minerality, finesse and understatement. Dark in the form of spice and restraint. The elegance escalates into an insane complexity, unagitatedness and timelessness. Shortly after, the acidity kicks in and allows it to flow across the lips with great drinkability and class. It flows into a slender stream full of fruit and joy. Complemented again and again with acid peaks and clear as a mountain stream on the finish. Precise and pure. With a high degree of astringency, it makes you want more.
