Wine Description for Tokaji Cuvée Patricia 2018 500ml by Királyudvar

Colour & Appearance
Radiant, brilliantly clear golden yellow with brilliant reflection – a visual harbinger of the concentration this wine carries within.
Nose
A captivingly elegant aromatic world that places finesse above opulence: lemon curd and vanilla in still warm puff pastry form the creamy core, wafted by linden blossom and rose fragrance. Beneath, cool notes of stone and mint that lend the wine an animated, almost ethereal lightness despite its sweetness. One senses the concentration without it ever feeling heavy.
Palate
On the palate, the full complexity unfolds: silky-creamy texture with noble viscosity, carried by present, vital acidity that effortlessly balances the 153 grams of residual sugar. Limoncello with preserved lemon peel brings a bitter-herbal component into play, mint and sage add herbaceous facets. Remarkable: despite its fullness, the wine becomes increasingly lighter, weightless towards the finish – a paradox that underscores its class.
Finish
Long, floating lightly and characterised by refreshing clarity. The acidity carries the aromas far, whilst the sweetness concludes elegantly.
Terroir & Origin
From the renowned Danczka vineyard site in Tokaj, one of the great vineyard sites of Királyudvar estate. The harvest took place on 17th and 18th September 2018 – early for Tokaj, which explains the fresh, lively style.
Grape Variety & Vinification
Produced entirely from Sárga Muskotály (Yellow Muscat). After spontaneous fermentation, the wine matured for six months in traditional 225-litre casks of Slavonian oak, which provide structure without dominating the fruit character. With only 11% alcohol and 6.87 g/l acidity at pH 3.29, a textbook example of balance.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Classically with Bleu de Chèvre with pear chutney or duck pâté with light fruit bread. Particularly appealing: lemon tart with sage, which picks up the herbal notes of the wine.
Special Features
A Muscat late harvest that proves great sweet wines need not be heavy. Cuvée Patricia combines Hungarian tradition with modern elegance – a wine of remarkable finesse and drinkability.
