Wine appellation and production
This is a careful selection from the Danczka vineyard, made from 100% Sárga Muskotály grapes harvested in September 2018. After a spontaneous fermentation, the wine spent a period of maturation in 2.25 hectolitre Slavonian oak storage tanks. With an alcohol content of 11 %, a residual sugar content of 153 grams and an acidity of 6.87 grams at 3.29 pH, it was bottled after six months.
Color
A bright golden yellow sparkles in the glass.
Bouquet
The Cuvée "Patricia" 2018 convinces with fine and elegant scents that remind of the pleasure of freshly baked shortbread with a hint of lemon curd and vanilla. Notes of lime blossom and rose provide a fragrant top note, while subtle hints of cool rocks and mint unfold beneath. Although there is a hint of sweetness and concentration, the fragrance of the wine remains refreshed and luminous.
Taste
On the palate, this cuvée seduces with a similarly complex world of flavours, which is further refined by its silky, slightly viscous texture. The vital, present acidity perfectly balances the natural sweetness without imposing itself unpleasantly. A subtly bitter note of lemon peel soaked in limoncello harmonises elegantly with traces of mint and a hint of sage, adding complexity to the wine. Despite all concentration and fullness, the Cuvée "Patricia" seems increasingly light and almost weightless towards the finale.
Culinary pairing tips
Enjoy this wine with a rich cheese plate that includes blue cheese and pear compote, chicken pate on a light fruit baguette or a classic lemon tart garnished with some fresh sage. Alternatively, a dessert of dark chocolate and raspberries or a delicious apple strudel with cream could round off an excellent taste experience.
