Wine information
Biodynamic cultivation. The 70-year-old vines grow at altitudes of 750 to 900 metres on granite and sandy soil. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in wooden barrels with wild yeasts, followed by ageing in French barriques and barrels. Bottling takes place without filtration or stabilisation. The total production amounts to 2,128 bottles.
Color
Muted purple with ruby red reflections.
Nose
The aroma impresses with a brilliant fullness. In addition to sweet blackberries, glazed black cherries, black plum jam, oriental spices and fruit bread, there is a deep, mineral and peaty note. After a longer opening, truffles and liquorice emerge. A mystical and extremely profound wine announces itself.
Taste
Its freshness, precise acidity, salty minerality and fine tannin structure are fascinating. It challenges the palate and at the same time envelops it with its profound and multi-faceted structure. A real long-distance runner!
When young, decant for several hours if possible and enjoy from large glasses.
