Info about the wine
Biodynamic cultivation, 15-70 year old vines grow at 550 and 650 metres above sea level on granite and sand.
After hand-picking, the wine is fermented in steel tanks with wild yeasts and then matured for 7 months in French barriques and foudres. Bottling takes place without filtration or stabilisation.
The production volume amounts to 22,610 bottles.
Color
Muted purple colour with slight lightening towards the rim.
Nose
The 2021 El Corralón has a captivating aroma of plum jam, cinnamon, milk chocolate and preserved cherries. The skilful use of wood beautifully captures the fruity flavours. A seductive sweetness seems to be omnipresent; you want to dive straight into this wonderful wine and look forward to the first sip!
Palate
With juicy and sweet fruit it runs over the tongue, the invigorating acidity and tannin structure refreshes and you immediately long for the next sip.
An elegant and extremely harmonious red wine that will develop very well with further maturation; those who want to enjoy it in its youthful stage would do well to decant it a few hours in advance.
