Colour & Appearance

Luminous purple-red in the glass, which underscores the youthfulness and vitality of this single-varietal Cabernet Franc. The colour promises concentration without heaviness.

Nose

An enchanting play of aromas featuring blackcurrants and dark berry notes, which combines the typical Cabernet Franc freshness with south Spanish intensity. The spicy oak notes from twelve months of barrel ageing are masterfully integrated – they underscore without dominating. What distinguishes this wine: a vibrant freshness that immediately whets the appetite.

Palate

Compact and dense, yet never cumbersome – here lies the artistry of Extremadura winemakers. The wine possesses impressive power and concentration, whilst remaining tense and fresh from first sip to last. Dark fruits, spice and a fine minerality dance across the tongue. The silky tannins envelop the full body like a silk glove – structured, yet never intrusive.

Finish

Remarkably long with lingering fruit presence and an elegant spice that resonates. The balance between power and finesse is maintained right to the end.

Terroir & Origin

From Extremadura, an underrated region in south-western Spain, where continental climate and ancient soils produce powerful, characterful wines. Habla is among the pioneers who impressively demonstrate the potential of this region.

Grape Variety & Vinification

A rarity: 100% Cabernet Franc – cultivated on only 750 hectares in Spain. The destemmed grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months maturation in French barriques. This vinification preserves the varietal’s characteristic freshness whilst adding complexity.

Food Pairing Suggestions

Ideally suited to Rabo de Toro (braised oxtail) or Jamón Ibérico. Also excellent with lamb shoulder, game dishes or aged Manchego.
