Wine information

The wine comes from the 1.3 hectare Les Pins vineyard. The vineyard is characterised by clay, silt and sand at a depth of one metre on the bedrock of Asteria limestone. It lies at an altitude of 100 to 102 metres. 50 % Cabernet Franc and 50 % Merlot were used for this wine. The vineyard is cultivated biodynamically. Agroforestry and permaculture are also integrated. After manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation took place, followed by ageing in used oak barrels for 18 months. The wine was bottled without filtration or fining.

Nose

The cuvée from the Les Pins vineyard is a wine with red and dark, crisp berry fruit that is mixed with crème des cassis, but remains aromatically cool. In addition to the fruit, there are hints of stone and dry wood as well as some dry leaves.

Taste

On the palate, too, there is this cool, juicy berry fruit and a lively, clear acidity. The tannins are chalky, the wine is juicy and drinkable, transparent and so developed that it is already a pleasure to drink.
