Color
Muted cherry red with clear violet reflections.
Nose
The 2016 Sancerre rouge Génération Dix-Neuf presents expressive fruit on the nose Dark berries, plums, cassis, dark plum jam and cranberries. With oxygen, floral notes of violets and ivy join in, followed by some boxwood and beetroot. Cedar, some wood smoke and black tea are also in the mix. A very coherent and beguiling drop.
Palate
The juicy and distinctive palate shows again the fruit of the nose in combination with stimulating acidity and spice. The tannin structure still seems youthfully demanding, its minerality striking and determined. A red from the Loire with great potential and juicy fruit.
