Color
The wine shows a rich ruby red with garnet rim and violet core clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
Dark yet beguiling, the fragrance of this cuvée of Grenache Noir and Carignan Noir seduces with the quality of a starry night.
Pickled black cherries, blackberries and plums bathe in a spice decoction of black pepper, clove and liquorice. Delicate smoky and peaty aromas give the dark fruit the necessary traction and give the extremely straightforward and clear fragrance all the more depth.
Palate
On the palate, the 2017 Planetes de Nin from the eponymous vineyard of the Nin-Ortiz family is powerful and punchy, but knows exactly how to use its strength. It takes over the palate with dark berry vigour and dresses it up with silky tannin to a ruby red velvet garnish. With restrained acidity and firm body, it conveys warmth and even a bit of security.
"Les Planetes" - a beautiful spot on earth; superbly conveyed.
