peyre rose
Marlène Soria, a former real estate entrepreneur, founded the Peyre Rose vineyard in the heart of the Languedoc. By clearing and planting vines in the fallow landscape, high-quality vineyards were created here. Soria farms the estate according to biodynamic guidelines and created first-class wines from Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvèdre, Rolle, Roussanne and Viognier with much love and care.
Production at Peyre Rose is done without modern technology. Every step, from the vineyard to the winery, is done manually. This natural process allows the wines to mature in peace before being released to the market after a minimum of six years. Soria's dedication results in characterful, deep wines that capture the flavours of the region's rich, unspoiled nature.
The winery's highlights include Marlène No. 3, Belle Léone and Les Cistes - three Syrah-based wines complemented by Grenache and Mourvèdre. The most recent vintage, 2011, is a real statement. The Oro Blanc, a white wine made from Rolle, Roussanne, Viognier and other varieties, matured for fifteen years in large wooden barrels. Despite its age, this classic still has considerable potential after bottling and is an excellent accompaniment to braised or grilled dishes.
Soriam proves to be a true treasure of the Languedoc through its sustainable approach and dedication to handcrafting. Peyre Rose is an insider tip for wine lovers who appreciate authentic, natural wines.
