Wine information
The Zweigelt grapes come from the Parndorfer Platte. They were harvested at the end of August to mid-September. After manual harvesting and sorting, the Zweigelt was fermented spontaneously in the fermentation rack and, after slow pressing in the basket press, aged for twelve months in large wood.
Color
Radiant purple
Nose
In the nose opens the 2021 Zweigelt with a melange of sour cherries, blackberries and plums together with a little pepper, black olive tapenade and a sweet yeasty note. On top are aromas of thyme and a little mint as well as dark tobacco and Heicha tea.
Palate
On the palate, the wine shows a successful combination of ripe and above all juicy dark fruit, which is framed by a silky and pleasantly mellow tannin. Entirely Zweigelt, the wine presents itself charming and balanced between fruit, fine spice and lively silky acidity. This is a red wine for just about any occasion, for serving by the glass and for larger rounds.
